Oxman Lighting develops lights that push the boundaries of efficiency and performance. Our lights last longer and produce a higher output while using less of our Earth’s precious resources. The low material usage and ultra-long lifetimes make Oxman lights some of the greenest on the market, all while excelling in style and performance.

Our passion stems from an unwavering desire to improve people’s lives from both a quality and environmental standpoint. Years of research and development have led us to create better performing lights with a smaller environmental footprint. Our patented technology allows us to produce unique, high quality lights with better weight to output ratios. We use less material and achieve superior performance.
To understand where Oxman Lighting gets its mojo, we have to travel back in time. The year is 1995 and inefficient, costly lighting is rampant. Walter Oechsle, former GM of Siemens Australia, recognises that significant savings in the lighting industry can be achieved with more efficient, smarter designs. He goes on to create lighting development firm EFTEC and for the next 20+ years of his retirement works from his garage in Melbourne, Australia designing, refining and testing his concepts.
Walter’s initial designs centre around ELV halogen lights, but as technology advances, so too do his ideas. He develops an innovative, yet amazingly simple new method of cooling LEDs, and proceeds to assemble and test a series of ever-improving prototypes. The test results leave no doubt; he has come up with an effective design that uses far less material and can still deliver a greater light output than anything else available on the market.
Walter’s grandson Philip recognises the technology as an important advancement for the lighting industry; one that can achieve reduced raw material usage and superior performance. He founds Oxman Lighting Pty Ltd with the mission of seeing Walter’s dream of a better, cleaner and brighter world of lighting become a reality.
